Five-Star OL Michael Fasusi Commits to Oklahoma - Seasports

Five-star offensive tackle Michael Fasusi has committed to the University of Oklahoma, as confirmed by On3’s Chad Simmons. The 6-foot-6, 295-pound lineman chose the Sooners over Texas and Texas A&M.

Fasusi shared, “I almost committed on the official visit to Oklahoma. That visit to Norman really summed it all up. It wasn’t just me, but my family felt it, too. The coaches did more than impress me; they made my family feel comfortable, and we all felt the love.”

The decision was influenced by his meetings with head coach Brent Venables and offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh. Fasusi aims to make an immediate impact upon joining the Sooners for the 2025 season.

“I am ready for the challenge. My goal has always been to go into school and play early,” Fasusi said. “It won’t be all me. I will work with Coach B, I will have great support, and the people at Oklahoma will help me grow and develop.”

Hailing from Lewisville, Texas, Fasusi is ranked as the No. 2 offensive tackle and the No. 9 overall prospect by ESPN 300. His commitment comes on the fifth anniversary of his family’s move from Nigeria to the United States.

Fasusi is now the highest-ranked commit in Oklahoma’s 2025 recruiting class. He joins quarterback Kevin Sperry and CJ Nickson among the 11 ESPN 300 commitments for this recruiting cycle.
