Twin Brothers Cameron and Cayden Boozer Commit to Duke - Seasports

Cameron and Cayden Boozer, both top-25 recruits in the class of 2025, announced their commitment to Duke University and head coach Jon Scheyer on Friday via Instagram. The Boozer twins, sons of former NBA player Carlos Boozer, had been among the most highly anticipated recruits in the country.

Carlos Boozer, who played three seasons at Duke before enjoying a 13-year NBA career with teams including the Cleveland Cavaliers, Utah Jazz, Chicago Bulls, and Los Angeles Lakers, has seen his sons follow in his footsteps by choosing to join the Blue Devils.

Cameron and Cayden selected Duke over other notable programs such as Miami and Florida. According to 247Sports’ Travis Branham, Duke was initially considered an underdog to secure the commitments of the twins, but unofficial visits in August and September shifted the momentum in favor of the Blue Devils.

The brothers currently attend Christopher Columbus High School in Miami, where they have played key roles in winning three consecutive state championships.

Cameron Boozer, a 6-foot-9 power forward, is ranked as the No. 2 prospect in the class of 2025, according to ESPN’s rankings. With a 7-foot wingspan, Cameron is known for his ability to dominate inside while also being capable of hitting 3-pointers. Over his three seasons at Columbus, Cameron has averaged 20.7 points and 11.2 rebounds per game.

His brother Cayden Boozer, standing at 6-foot-4, is the No. 17 prospect and the fifth-highest-rated point guard in the class, per ESPN. Known for his elite passing skills, Cayden has averaged 14 points, 5.6 assists, and 4.2 rebounds per game at Columbus.

Duke is expected to have a strong presence in the upcoming NBA draft, with multiple projected picks including Cooper Flagg, Kon Knueppel, Khaman Maluach, Tyrese Proctor, and Sion James.
