At 36 years old, Beverley expressed satisfaction with the terms offered by Hapoel Tel Aviv, stating, “They gave me everything I asked for. I couldn’t refuse.”
While specifics of the contract remain undisclosed, Beverley had been weighing offers, including a veteran minimum deal in the NBA and what he described as a “historic” opportunity in Europe. Despite Israel not being geographically part of Europe, Beverley’s decision suggests a lucrative move potentially spanning multiple years.
Last season, Beverley concluded with the Milwaukee Bucks following a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged six points, 3.6 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game, maintaining a 36% shooting accuracy from beyond the arc.
Beverley, known for his defensive prowess, will begin the 2024-25 season under a four-game suspension due to an incident during a playoff game against the Indiana Pacers, where he threw a basketball at courtside fans.
